This collection of HTML files is the template I use to write eBooks using Adobe Dreamweaver. To build the final eBook in ePub format, compress the Source folder to create a .ZIP archive. Then import the archive into Calibre, the free eBook management suite. Once imported, update the metadata (title, author, set cover art, etc.) and convert to ePub format.
Dreamweaver is probably not the first application one thinks of for writing books. But working in an HTML editor significantly minimizes the likelihood of conversion errors when the eBook is submitted for publication on the Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble Nook. And Dreamweaver's design view is pretty easy to use. Please refer to Amalthia's Ebook Formatting Tutorial for more in depth information. That's what gave rise to this template.
And of course, you are free to use this template any way you like. Have fun making books!
